Google Search Console traffic

When I looked at my Google Search Console today, it seemed like my traffic had dropped to zero!

I watch my traffic closely as I am trying to learn what influences visibility in Google. I recently found out that Site Vitality seems to have a big impact on your visibility. But in order to be able to see your site vitality you have to be in the CrUX report. And in order to get there you have to have a minimum amount of traffic (I assume). Anyway…

Back to what happened: I saw a drop in traffic, all the way to zero. However, when I looked closer, I saw they changed the graph. The last day of the graph is now today. As the data in Google Search Console is (obviously) not real-time, there is no data for today, so this looks like a sudden drop in traffic. A change that will alarm many system administrators, like me. But you can all relax and keep breathing.

Nothing happened… they just changed the graph.

UPDATE: And one day later they changed the graph back… I probably wasn’t the only one who noticed the change.
